Kate’s 2¢: “Grim Shadows” by Jenn Bennett
“Grim Shadows” by Jenn Bennett
Kate’s 2¢: There is a plethora of in-depth biographies of authors and reviews of their books, that state the title, author, published date, and genre; as well as, describing what the book is about, setting, and character(s), so, Kate’s 2¢ merely shares my thoughts about what I read. I’m just saying…
Ordinarily, I wouldn’t down-load a “Historical romance fiction; Paranormal romance fiction”, but the NLS sent it to me as part of their automatic rotation. So, my policy is to read for a while; then, decide if I want to return it or keep reading/listening. This story hooked me.
For one thing, toward the end of the story, it was refreshing to hear a description of normal sex between two, straight, consenting, unattached adults. Who knew that in 2014, they could write that graphic a scene?
Of course, it was thrilling to have the hero come roaring up on Lulu to vanquish the evil partner just in time to rescue the heroine. Or did she rescue him?
