“The storyteller of Casablanca” by Fiona Valpy
Kate’s 2¢: There is a plethora of in-depth biographies of authors and reviews of their books, that state the title, author, published date, and genre; as well as, describing what the book is about, setting, and character(s), so, Kate’s 2¢ merely shares my thoughts about what I read. I’m just saying…
A few take-aways:
–We like to think we learned lessons from those wars, and yet, history continues to repeat itself.
–There is no need to read about it…such refugees are all around us.
–Some voices get drowned out and we have to listen harder to hear them.
I enjoyed this story. While the reader knew there was a problem, it isn’t revealed until the end. Well, isn’t that what good stories do?
From her website:
Fiona is an acclaimed number 1 bestselling author, whose books have sold millions of copies and been translated into more than thirty different languages worldwide.
