Kate’s 2¢: There is a plethora of in-depth biographies of authors and reviews of their books, that state the title, author, published date, and genre; as well as,     describing what the book is about, setting, and character(s), so, Kate’s 2¢ merely shares my thoughts about what I read.  I’m just saying…

Don’t be offended, but, written by a Swede, then, interpreted into English, something is bound to be lost or added.  The beginning of this story reminds me of dumping out the 1000 pieces of a jig-saw puzzle onto the table-top. It is a jumble of separate pieces that don’t make much sense.

After working on the puzzle and this story, things begin to take shape and the bigger picture slowly comes into focus.

I enjoyed the last chapter, where the author looked into each of the hostage’s issues and how they were resolved. The beginning then made sense, too.

“We never know how your life is affected by mine…But, when you get home this evening, when this day is over and the night takes us allow yourself a deep breath, because, we made it through this day.  There will be another one tomorrow.”
